What We Do

Our family has lived in Ponder for generations. We have enjoyed this land, the scenic views, and the peace that comes along with it. We want to share in the beauty that is Ponder with you.

We have 3 cabins nestled quietly in the country side that allows you to escape your everday stressers and relax for a weekend, a week, or even a month.

Enjoy evenings under the stars around a campfire. Take in the calmness of the land, and let your mind, and body begin to relax.

Area Name

When this area first became a community, it was called Pulltight. Due to the steep slope wagons had to follow to cross the river.

Postal Services

The Post Office in Ponder shut it's doors in 2013. They have taken the building, and only the cement slab remains.

Buildings Remain

Ponder had it's own gas station, and grocery store in the early days. The rock house in the heart of Ponder is still there, and used as a residence.

Wild Life

This is country land, so you will see (or hear) the occasional turkey, hog, deer, bobcat. So be on the lookout.

School Building

Ponder also at one time had their own school house. Although a fire in the 80's further destroyed the structure.

Ponder Tabernacle

Across from the Ponder Baptist Church, is a tabernacle used for Weddings, and Homecomings.
